Kinetic Spectrophotometric (KS)
Assay category
This test was developed and its analytical performance characteristics have been determined by Quest Diagnostics. It has not been cleared or approved by FDA. This assay has been validated pursuant to the CLIA regulations and is used for clinical purposes.
This test code is California patient testing. For non-California testing, use test code 39481.

| Collection instructions | 4 mL refrigerated uncentrifuged whole blood (3 mL minimum) and 1 mL refrigerated plasma (0.5 mL minimum) drawn in EDTA tubes, and 1 mL refrigerated serum (0.5 mL minimum). Transfer plasma and serum to plastic transport tubes and send refrigerated with whole blood. Note: PPT potassium EDTA (white-top) tubes should be centrifuged within 24 hours. |
