Clinical Significance

Protein, Total, 24-Hour Urine with Creatinine - Urinary total proteins are negligible in healthy individuals. Concentrations are increased in patients with a wide variety of disease that impair renal function including diabetes, hypertension, nephritic syndrome, and drug nephrotoxicity.
