Clinical Significance

IgM - Increased IgM is associated with Waldenström's macroglobulinemia, infectious mononucleosis, viral infections, nephrotic syndrome, and estrogen therapy; decreased IgM is found in selective IgM deficiency, Bruton's Disease, and acquired immune deficiency.
