Clinical Significance
Fetal Hemoglobin - Fetal hemoglobin is increased in sickle cell anemia, leukemias, beta-thalassemia and hereditary persistence of fetal hemoglobin. The production of fetal hemoglobin may be triggered as a response to sickle crisis.
