Clinical Significance

Rickettsial Disease Panel - Rickettsiae are gram negative coccobacilli and short bacilli for which humans are incidental hosts except for human louse-borne typhus. Infections include Q Fever, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and many types of typhus.

Test Details

Includes

  • Rickettsia (RMSF) Antibodies (IgG, IgM) with Reflex to Titers
Rickettsia (Typhus Fever) Antibodies (IgG, IgM) with Reflex to Titers
Q Fever (Coxiella burnetii) Antibodies (IgG, IgM), with Reflex to Titers

If RMSF IgG is Detected, then RMSF IgG Titer will be performed at an additional charge (CPT code(s): 86317).
If RMSF IgM is Detected, then RMSF IgM Titer will be performed at an additional charge (CPT code(s): 86317).

If R. typhi IgG is Detected, then R. typhi IgG Titer will be performed at an additional charge (CPT code(s): 86317).
If R. typhi IgM is Detected, then R. typhi IgM Titer will be performed at an additional charge (CPT code(s): 86317).

If Q Fever IgG Phase I is Positive, then Q Fever IgG Phase I Titer will be performed at an additional charge (CPT code(s): 86317).
If Q Fever IgG Phase II is Positive, then Q Fever IgG Phase II Titer will be performed at an additional charge (CPT code(s): 86317).
If Q Fever IgM Phase I is Positive, then Q Fever IgM Phase I Titer will be performed at an additional charge (CPT code(s): 86317).
If Q Fever IgM Phase II is Positive, then Q Fever IgM Phase II Titer will be performed at an additional charge (CPT code(s): 86317).
