Patient Preparation

Avoid exposure to gadolinium or iodine based contrast media for 96 hours prior to sample collection. Do not use disinfectants containing iodine, such as Betadine®, durine venipuncture.

Collection Instructions

Promptly centrifuge and separate serum or plasma into a deionized water rinsed plastic screw-cap vial using approved guidelines.
The sample should be centrifuged as soon as possible following collection, but the time should not exceed 2 hours.
