Clinical Significance
CEA with HAMA Treatment - CEA is a tumor marker that is useful to monitor patients with persistent, recurrent or metastatic colonic carcinoma. Patients who have received mouse monoclonal antibodies as part of treatment should have their specimens pre-treated for removal of the human antimouse antibodies (HAMA).
