Draw baseline specimen before ACTH administration. Administer 250 mcg Cortrosyn by rapid IV push. Draw specimens 30 and 60 minutes after ACTH administration. Clearly mark time drawn on all tubes.

Note: Cortrosyn (cosyntropin) not supplied by the laboratory.
This test cannot be collected at a Patient Service Center.
